On this Day I Vow to Help Willing Souls Recover from Drug Addiction

Today has been a public holiday for us in South Africa as it is the 'Day of the Vow'. I have spent a lot of time thinking about this and have decided to make a vow of my own. I VOW TO HELP WILLING SOULS RECOVER FROM DRUG ADDICTION!

When I sit and look at the way which drug addiction is spiraling out of control, I realize that more and more people will be able to benefit from the insights which I have to share pertaining to overcoming drug addiction. I am sick and tired of seeing us loosing our youth to teenage drug addiction.

I am sick and tired of hearing about families being destroyed by drug addiction, homes made into hell because of drug addiction! I am tired of watching people loose their families to gang wars as a result of addiction. In short, I am fed up with seeing our society being ruined by the effect of drugs and all the shit that goes with it!

When I say that I am making a vow to do all that I can to rid us of this epidemic, then believe me, I am willing to put it all on the line! At some stage we need to take a stand so far as how we allow this problem to affect our society.

Drug addiction and usage leads to many different very negative impacts which affect us all, including:

I Love the Response I am Getting to Recovering Junkie

I must say that I am truly amazed at the response which I am getting to my new web site Recovering Junkie, it is barely over a month old now and has already achieved Google # 1 ranking when you search the words Recovering Junkie.

At one stage I was getting worried because I was not getting people subscribing to my FREE 10 Week Mini Course who I did not know personally, but today the subscriptions started coming in with a variety of different people showing definite interest in what I have to say and share.

I know that this site is going to grow exponentially as it is driven by my passion to help people who's lives are being affected negatively by the ever growing problem of drug addiction. Whether this might be street drug addiction such as cocaine, crack and heroin or whether it is commercial drug addiction such as antidepressants or calming pills.

I truly appreciate all the support people are showing for the site and the topic of drug abuse, use and addiction, without this support it would never be possible to continue with the development of what I believe will soon be a very powerful and healing site.

It also however shows me the number of lives which are being negatively affected by drug abuse and addiction and this builds the passion within me to make a difference even more. So thank you all for the support and I trust that together we can grow and begin to overcome the epidemic of drug abuse in our modern day society.

Well Now it is Out, I Was a Drug Addict for 14 Years!

 I was always ashamed of my past and did everything I could in order to prevent this well kept secret from coming out but the day has come and now everyone knows I was a drug addict for 14 years of my life, in fact you could almost make that 15 years.

So what has changed that I am now willing to openly talk about my addiction, well it is actually quite simple. I have come to terms with this fact and now realize that the reason why I managed to go flat liner (no heart beat due to overdose) 3 times and survive is that I need to share it with the world in order to be able to save more children, adults and in fact anyone I can from falling prey to drug addiction.

It is for this reason that I have now begun www.recoveringjunkie.com in order to be able to make a difference in the lives of others who might be heading down the same road. I have now been clean of my mainly heroin addiction for 10 years now and feel I need to give back to society that which I took from them in my junkie years.

I Discovered my Passion at Wealth Creators University - Now It is All Systems Go!

As I said in a previous blog, while I was attending the first workshop for the Wealth Creators University, I had an amazing epiphany and that was that I realized what my true passion and meaning was. No need to say, but all of the opportunity seeking ideas which I had simply crumbled to dust and no longer seemed relevant or truly meaningful.

So what did this actually mean and what were the ramifications of this realization?

Well firstly it meant that all of the other Internet Marketing Ideas which I had come up with were now no longer a priority and would have to give way for a business idea which I know truly is my passion. But it does not end there, this means that all of the Niche research which I had done during the Control Center Marketing course suddenly was redundant and any site development which I had done would have to all be put on hold.

Well, this was a big one for me after all of the hours which I had dedicated to finding that perfect niche, but something inside me said "STUFF IT!" and I decided to follow my gut feel. The reason for this is that after being shown the difference between opportunity seeking and Wealth Creation, there simply was no other choice. Anyway, I discovered that my reason for still being alive is to be able to help people who are themselves or love someone who is affected by drug abuse. Thus began the creation of Recovering Junkie, this is a website dedicated to helping recovering drug addicts, the families of recovering drug addicts, addicts and in fact anyone who wants to know more about beating drug addiction.

Many people who have met me of late have no idea as to the fact that I was plagued by drug addiction for many years of my life. It all started out with a bit of weed and unfortunately ended up with me going flat liner (no heart beat) 3 times due to Heroin overdose or withdrawal.

Well it is now 10 years since I managed to begin to get the addiction monkey off my back and I am actually very proud to say that I comprise part of that elite group (+- 3%) of people who have managed to fully recover from intravenous heroin addiction.

On the Recovering Junkie site I am sharing exactly what it took for me to get and stay clean, I will also be populating the site with a ton of addiction information and have many plans as to how I can help to help people save themselves or their loved ones from the tragedy of drug addiction.

Wealth Creators University Review

Well, the first Wealth Creators University Workshop weekend is over and to be honest I need to tell you that I am not the person who posted the last blog post on this site, I am someone completely different. The reason for me saying this is very simple - I can no longer blame anyone else for my failures or lack of results in my own life as now I have the understanding which will ensure my success so long as I take the right actions and apply what I have learned over the last 3 days.

There are 4 words I would like to use in order to describe the Wealth Creators University and the founder Dr. Hannes Dreyer:

• Dynamic
• Driven
• Deep
• Decisive

This had to be the most dynamic and decisive workshop which I have ever attended and the amount of information which you are supplied and the energetic way in which it is presented is truly a life changing experience, but at the same time very daunting because should I now not get the result which I am looking for I will have no one to blame but myself because I now have all the steps and formulas I need to succeed.

The workshops were held at Dr. Hannes Dreyers game farm called Shumba's Rest and believe me, a more beautiful and tranquil setting you will not find, let me show you:

This truly is a place of beauty and tranquility, the perfect place to be able to sit down after the days workshop and truly allow what you have learned to sink in in order to be able to internalize it and believe me you need to be able to do this after spending a day in a workshop with such a dynamic mentor such as Dr. Hannes Dreyer.

So what exactly was it that this dynamic mentor had to offer the students who attended the weekend, well it is really very simple, he gave us EVERYTHING! He truly put it all out there:

• Every mindset
• Every system
• Every framework
• Every formula
• Every skills level
• Every ounce of his energy

Which he has used and perfected over the last 27 years in order to become in my eyes the master of Wealth Creation. But it is not only me saying this, why not go and have a look at this YouTube video where another student covers in great detail exactly what was offered by the Wealth Creators University weekend.

So what did I come away from the weekend with? Well the list is endless, I came away with a wealth of understanding and knowledge which will change my life forever, but it is now my responsibility to apply it and use it correctly.

But more importantly a latent giant was awakened within me and now he is doing all he can to break out, a giant who for many years was quite content to simply lay back and watch the time go by, so what woke this giant up and made him so suddenly determined to be free?

Let me tell you a little story which might make it a bit more clear.

On Sunday evening, after the last workshop had ended and we had all been treated to a fantastic dinner and drinks I went back to the beautiful tented camp I was staying in to relax and absorb what I had learned and experienced during the day.

My wife and sister in-law were also there and we were all chatting, but soon they went off to bed as they were very tired and it was then that I was left alone with my thoughts and the energy I had absorbed from this life changing day.

I found myself suddenly overcome with intense emotion and the tears were rolling down my face. The realization that I had been wasting my full potential and simply watching life go by was truly intense and a very emotional moment.

But here is the twist, these were not tears of sadness, shame or pain. THEY WERE TEARS OF JOY! Finally I was free, free of hiding behind 'ignorance', 'blame', 'inaction', 'shifted responsibility', 'self pity' and a myriad of other excuses which I used to justify my not becoming the best I can be.

For too long I had been chasing after the next quick fix or instant gratification and truly applying the mindset of an opportunity seeker, but now I could no longer blame my opportunity seeking mindset on anyone but myself as now I had all of the formulas, recipes and knowledge I need to become a Wealth Creator and it could only be my own fault if I chose not to apply it correctly and become the best that I can be.

As all of these immensely powerful emotions were flowing through me, a loud voice from within me shouted:

"HEY! I AM YOUR PASSION AND I AM AWAKE, USE ME!"

This was the giant awakening within me and demanding I follow him and his name is Dave's Passion.

Now when a giant says follow especially when it is your own giant then you do so! From now on the responsibility is on me and I have absolutely no one to blame this time so guess what, I will become that giant and I will become the Wealth Creator which is lying dormant within me and which lays dormant in every single person who is still falling victim to an opportunity seeking mindset.

So what do I have to say in my review of the Wealth Creators University?

WOW! I AM ALIVE & WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN! IT IS THE MOST POWERFUL PLACE OF LEARNING ANYONE COULD HAVE THE PRIVILEGE OF ATTENDING!

I Can Hardly Wait!

Well, time is ticking and what I believe will be a life changing experience is drawing closer. This weekend I will be spending my time at Shumba's Rest a game farm in South Africa, but it will not be for a get-away this time but rather a very intensive weekend of workshops with the Wealth Creators University!

You see, Shumba's Rest is a Game Farm owned by someone who I consider to be my most influential mentor, Dr. Hannes Dreyer who is a very dynamic and successful Wealth Creator. After doing his FREE "Double Your Income by Working Less" course I was lucky enough to qualify and book a place for the first ever Wealth Creators University Workshop.

I believe that this is going to be a life changing experience and I will have the privilege of experiencing it first hand. Believe me I will be reporting back to let you all know exactly what it was like and what I feel I will have benefited from the whole experience.

I believe that as with all of the other courses which I have done of Dr. Hannes Dreyer I will come back from this experience a changed person who will have learned far more than I have already from this truly dynamic and successful mentor.

My life was truly at a stand still point until I began to study the works of this incredible man, but the more I have learned from him, the better my life has become and the more I have begun to discover the true potentials which I have and how to use them in effective and productive ways. I am still a long way from where I want to be but by taking constant and never ending steps forward I know I will reach my goals.

Dr. Hannes Dreyer as a Mentor has already taught me so much about:
